Description:

'Acqua' is the italian translation of the term 'Water'.
This style it's written with the old KDE pixmap engine, so it doesn't support the trasparent menu effect.
The applications you see in the screenshot are:

Konqueror: Web browser. http://www.konqueror.org
Kopete: Multiprotocol istant messaging client. http://kopete.kde.org
SuperKaramba Kroller applet: MacOSX like dockbar. http://www.kde-look.org
If you want to download this GKrellM skin visit my Home Page. http://www.aronnax.it

 YellowDog on iMac

by anonymous on: Dec 22 2001

Score 50%

I installed YellowDog on my iMac because MacOSX would have put the hurt on my poor little 233MHz Rev B iMac. This Acqua interface makes up for some of the glitz I felt I was missing by not running Apples latest reason-to-upgrade-hardware.
Well Done!

typically to make a mac boot of a CD you just need to hold the "C" key down when you power it up. It should look for a bootable CD by defualt when it detects the keypress (I hold it in until the happy Mac icon changes to a CD-looking one). This worked for my iMac (original, NOT a revision model). ^_^ I did this when I upgraded the RAM and HDD (changed the 4 for a 10gig).

 Install error

by anonymous on: Jan 17 2002

Score 50%

When I try to run the theme install script I get this:

cp: cannot create directory `/root/.kde/share/apps/kwin/icewm-themes/': No such
file or directory

Apparently, Mandrake 8.1 creates a different directory structure than your script expects

manually copy the 'Acqua' theme directory to file:/home/bswamina/.kde/share/apps/kwin/icewm-themes
and select it in Configure(ICEWM)

 INSTALLING STYLE

by jinksys on: Mar 6 2002

Score 50%

Read me:
styles are installed in either..
~/.kde/share/apps/kstyle/ or
~/.kde2/share/apps/kstyle/

the install script only installs
to .kde not .kde2, so, if the style
is not installing...try to open up
the install scripts and add a '2'
without the quotes before the .kde
in all the lines where it exists.
I hope that helps...
also, i found that on my system...
when you pressed a radio button,
there was distortion around the button....i fixed that png and
it can be found at jinksys.envy.nu/radiodown.png.
manually overwrite your
radiodown.png in your
~/.kde/share/apps/kstyle/pixmaps/acqua/
directory. (~/kde2.....blah blah) if you install there.
BTW I run SuSE 7.3....
Also, this theme is the coolest...
it actually does look shiny and glossy...unlike the Liquid style...
who just looks like play-doe
