 Modified XP Themes

I personally think the default XP look is sort of cartoonish. Why not aim higher and try to emulate the look of some of the modified XP themes? Some of them are very well done. If you want a real challenge, try to duplicate some of the Litestep shell themes -- it might be possible with E, but KDE isn't flexible enough for some things.

Stiamo organizzando il Linux Day 2002, e credo proprio che portero' il portatile con installato il tuo tema... sai che storia quando la gente lo vede e pensa che sia XP in una presentazione di Linux... e poi gli fai vedere che e' Linux!!!

I didn't like this theme when I got WinXP, having it in KDE3.0 wouldn't make it any better. Okay, only because it was on a more stable platform, but that has little to do with theme. I changed my XP desktop to that magnified moonscape wallpaper with the Win98 default theme. I prefer a theme that is distinct to the enviorment that I'm working or playing in. It does look pretty good though, if you want to pretend your using XP (why would you want to do that?).

grande! sono molto fiero di essere ialiano quando vedo queste cose! purtroppo pero` a me gli scripts non fungono: li eseguo ma purtroppo non posso selezionare nulla dal centro di controllo perche non si aggiungono i temi...che posso fare? (ho eseguito gli scripts da root bash)

It would be cool make password fields print dots where it would normally print "*" in place of the password characters. Both XP and Mac OS do this.
