You don't need it, but making Linux look like different kinds of operating systems is part of the fun me thinks. One day XP, one day MacOS, one day Amiga and one day KDE default. :)

I have good fun changing my KDE interface to different operating systems its quite fun and exciting that i can change my desktop that much. KDE is so sweet u can make it look like XP but without the crashyness or like OS X or like SOLARIS or BE all good fun.

it's FUN to make your KDE look like XP

"hey guys, look at my windwos XP box.. haha fooled you i'd never use windows. let's all laugh about it"

but copying and OS isnt' good IMHO. i for one love Aqua. I'm not too fond of windows' luna, but it's fine if you're into microsoft. although i think aqua is a great interface and the guy at apple get props for it, i don't think it should be copied. I think original ideas, original concepts and original sytles make KDE great. The Crystal icons and Keramik Widgets/ kwin style make kde how I like it.

my .02 simply is : originality is key

I personally agree with voz, some of you may think why should linux imitates the look of XP ? well, it's just the matter of looks anyway, so why bother ?
I understand some people may be annoyed with this, life goes on guys ...

.. un altro italiano! Devo dire che non è che ne capisca molto di queste cose (sono capitata un pò per caso), però sono belle!
Quanto a Xp personalmente lo detesto, metterlo come tema sembra qualsi un modo per sminuirlo, prenderlo in giro, no?

Per quanto si possa parlare di originalità per questo tema, come al solito c'è qualcuno che prende il lavoro degli altri e fa anche lo "sborrone" prendendosene il merito. Potevi anche fare figurare il tuo tema come una variante al mio, o menzionare quantomeno che metà del lavoro l'ho fatto io con Luna... Mah!

Probabilmente dici questo perchè sono rimaste delle pixmap del tuo tema (menuitemdown.png e hsbarslider_border.png)poichè quando ho iniziato a fare questo tema sono partito dal tuo ma se li confronti vedrai che le pixmap sono state rifatte tutte (vedi anche tema oliva), idem per la decorazione della finestra ,tutte le icone (vedi ad esempio kmail)e index.desktop.
Sicuramente di originale non c'è niente poichè è stato preso tutto da windows con ResHacker e Hyper Snap (circa 1 mese di sbattimenti)
Questo non è e non vuole essere un tema originale come del resto tutti quelli che imitano un altro S.O.


P.S. Bill Gates mi a chiamato dicendo che vogliamo fare gli "sborroni" con il suo WinzozzXP :-)

P.S.2 Luna mi piace molto proprio perchè non è la copia di windows ma ci hai messo del tuo ...

miks mõned ei viitsi oma kommentaare kirjutada üldlevinud arvamuse kohaselt internatsionaalselt mõistetavas keeles (ladina, inglise, vene) kirjutada?
Igatahes kasutan seda teemat mõnikord tuttavatele aknainimestele kde kohandatavuse demomiseks - miski, mis neile tuttav tuleb ja "paranemist" soodustab :)

Si todos hablamos el idioma que nos da la pu... gana, entonces no se entiende ni su ... madre. Así que venga hablemos ingles. Y pensaba que eso del patriotismo chungo no se daba en europa...
Well I think XP has a real good look, however kde3.1 right now looks even better. Still there are some things nicer in windows, like the login. I havent said better, just nicer, ok?...

Als jullie allemaal Italiaans gaan praten versta ik er geen barst meer van.
Het lijkt er wel op dat de Italianen het meest creatieve volk ter wereld zijn: ik klik twee thema's aan en in beide vind ik een bult reacties in het Italiaans. But perhaps it is better to go on in English?

There is a problem with this theme.
Buttons that are disabled for click are shown in the same way as buttons that can be clicked.
This is particular bad for the "next" button on kxicq. It always look as there are more messages than there actually are.
