Description:

KCheckGmail is a system tray application to notify you about how many email messages you have in your Gmail account.

KCheckGmail requires KDE 3.2 or later.

Just untar to a portage or overlay dir and emerge it (considering your portage overlay is set to /usr/local/portage):



tar xjvf kcheckgmail-0.2.4.tar.bz2 -C /usr/local/portage

ACCEPT_KEYWORDS=~x86 emerge -av kcheckgmail

nice looking program, but i can't get it to login. i tried entering my username and pw multiple times, but in the console it still says:

kcheckgmail: [void KCheckGmailTray::slotLoginStart()]
kcheckgmail: [void KCheckGmailTray::slotLoginDone(bool, bool, const QString&)]
kcheckgmail: ok=false evtFromTimer=true why=Invalid username or password

i have version 0.2.4 running on debian sid with kde 3.3. btw, it doesn't show up in the internet menu either - i have to run from the command line. (no errors running commands in INSTALL file.)

any ideas?

Google changed the login sequence... again... Login should work again in 0.2.5

I'll look into the menu item thing..

Hi. Managed to install it successfully, still, having trouble with it's icon. I'm getting a simple file icon instead and the message i'm receiving is as follows:
kdecore (KIconLoader): WARNING: Icon directory /usr/share/icons/slick/ group not valid.
P.S. I couldn't find a way to register a gmail account.
