Description:

i was trying to create the wall effect since long. i was and am still awe stuck by the brick wall posted by linuxlex. (his art inspired me to start all over again) this is my first attempt.

suggestions / comments are always welcome. thank you for visiting this page.

thank you linuxlex.... your art has made me reach this far ! i know i have a lot more to learn.... with practice and dedication, i will do it.... someday !

bottom most layer is left plain coz i felt it should be left clean to accommodate your favourite dock (for those who use it)

Changelog:

i have changed the image and re-started from scratch. this is my second attempt. hope this is received well.

Don't worry my friend with the first post. Some people prefer to criticize than to provide encouragement and give intelligent advice. For your first attempt it's nice ! There is a first time for everything ;)
Have a nice day dear friend.

Everyone has got to start somewhere. Keep trying different elements. Embed the logo, have the light bursting out the logo, darken the bricks...try a bunch of stuff and see what you come up with.

thanks for your suggestions... i changed the first one with my 2nd attempt with somewhat more pleasing effect. the learning curve is no doubt endless. honestly speaking i am learning to use different features of gimp and what you said was in my visualisation... it will take time to master that and may be i ll implement in some other image.

thanks once again for your valuable suggestions...

rvc I agree with liquidsky. You are trying new things and from these you will know where and how and what would be your best form of art.

When anyone starts something everyone is lost until they find their path.

Always remember that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. If you got a comment that was not encouragement that comment there is most valuable for you to become better. I had many of these also
and it did is to try even harder.

Anyway the reality of art is not about how good or bad is the image, because the like or unlike is not personal. Not everyone will see your art great and not everyone will see your art horrible, it is always in the eyes of the beholders, like the gentlemen expressed.

Best Regards,

friend, with my sarcastic remarks many people were encouraged to comment on. I hope not feel bad but I found it pretty simple and I hope you continue to improve.

Thank
