Description:

CuteCom is a graphical serial terminal, like minicom. It works under Linux, FreeBSD and Mac OS X.
It is aimed mainly at hardware developers or other people who need a terminal to talk to their devices. It is free software and distributed under the GNU General Public License Version 2, which can find in the file COPYING.
Cutecom was initially inspired by Bray++ for Windows.
Version 0.20.0 requires Qt 4.1.

I just built this, looks really nice. I've been looking for something to replace minicom on my KDE desktop, and this looks like it will do the job nicely.

Hi,

keep up the good work, KDE is in desperate need of such a tool.

But could you please change the open device dropdown field into a text input field?
I had to hack cutecommdlg.ui because my modem driver uses a non standard tty device (/dev/ttySL0).

i'm use to ssh into box and then minicom to the serial device /dev/ttyS0

could I use CuteCom and open the device....
