Color used for dropdowns-menu, is not clear.
But other than that, theme is excellent.

Good luck.

Thanks,

...besides the combobox color (seen in the right of the pic)

the entries in the left column are invisble unless mouse is hovering over

thanks for taking the time to solve these problems!

there are still a few issues:

the text entries in the combobox are very hard to read. an example is here:

http://img580.imageshack.us/i/screenshot2o.png/

another problem is the tabs in nautilus. e.g., the tabs look a bit too wide and the close button looks displaced to the left.

http://img228.imageshack.us/i/screenshot3mg.png/

the tabs look nice in other applications, like the console for example. so i am not sure if this is the problem of the theme or due to the gtk engine.

another "issue" might be slightly different styles in gtk2 and gkt3 controls. would it be possible to have the same style in both?

PS: pls dont take this as criticism. i really like the theme and i just want to improve it ;)

1. I cant figure out whats the problem with the comboboxes. I promise that i'll rectify that if i find it out.. :)

2. The tabs in nautilus are due to nautilus. The width and the close button's offset isn't controlled b y the theme, so it'll unfortunately remain that way.

3. Some styles like buttons are different. It's because of the limitations of the themeing engine. The buttons in the gtk2 version are drawn using murrine, while i just have css in gtk3, that leaves me just with gradients. I cant exactly replicate thecomplex gradient in those murrine button with gradients alone, n using images is out of the question, because they stretch.. n yea, i cant remove those stripes from the progressbars..

I am happy that someone is taking time to point out my mistakes. This is my first theme and i'm happy that people like it. Please tell me if u find any other glitches, i'll try to rectify them.. :) :) have a nice day.. :)

ok, then i have a few more for your to do list :D

1.
in nautilus list view, that little symbol is missing when the folder is selected
http://img853.imageshack.us/i/screenshot4kz.png/

2.
background color of selected text is a bit too bright so the text is hard to read. an example:
http://img860.imageshack.us/i/screenshot5d.png/

it looks like this is in the gtk3 style. in gtk2 it looks better.

3.
again, it is probably a nautilus feature, but perhaps there is a way to change the color of the nautilus toolbar buttons text? the white one is very hard to read:
http://img694.imageshack.us/content_round.php?page=done&l=img694/2253/screenshot6hb.png

4.
this:
http://img856.imageshack.us/i/screenshot7p.png/

thanks for doing this!!!

cheers

and just another thought for the differences between gtk2 and gtk3 style of controls.

what about using the equinox engine for gtk2? the style looks much more similar to what i see in gtk3 (adwaita engine?). for example scrollbars and buttons. ...BTW equinox was my favorite gtk engine in gnome2 ;)

 Pink menus

Score 50%

I don't know if anyone else have brought this to your attention. Using the new Unico-based theme, menus in Totem Movie Player are all pink. All the other applications I've tried have their menus correctly colored.

Your theme is otherwise very good!

My apologies. I must have inadvertently caused the problem myself somehow. Having recently re-downloaded your theme and put it on a fresh install of Gnome 3, I no longer experience the issue.

Unable to build Unico on Fedora 15

by cocorocara on: Jun 27 2011

configure fails with the error:

Requested 'gtk+-3.0 >= 3.1.6' but version of GTK+ is 3.0.11

And GTK+ is the latest possible (no update available).

Any workaround for this?

thank u.. :) i'm glad it works for u.
P.S. there r nasty bugs in newer revisions of the engine which cause strange pink backgrounds so i insist on keeping r69 for now. :)
