Description:

"QNiX" provides theme engines, for both KWin and KDE2 widgets, based on the QNX/Photon user interface. My aim has been to replicate as closely as possible the QNX GUI, while still providing configurability (through standard KDE colour settings) and performance (by using a C++ based engine instead of using pixmaps).

To compile under Debian/Unstable, downgrade automake to Woody!

Put a woody-line in sources.list and run:

# apt-get remove automake
# apt-get -t testing install automake

// Per Wigren

Hi, I'm the creator of this theme. Thanks for all your comments. I'm sorry if anyone has had difficulties compiling, I've only been able to test it on SuSE-7.2 and Redhat-7.1 with KDE-2.2, where it compiled correctly(make -f Makefile.cvs;./configure;make;sudo make install). The config scripts are based on those that come with Mosfet's liquid theme, perhaps some changes might be required for Debian. Any changes/patches or other comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

 Looks Great

Very clean and elegant. Now if it only had transparent menus for me to play with I would be happy.

When I tried qnx I thought that the photon look was cool, and with this theme KDE is even cooler (if it was possible ;) ).

 Suggestion

Howdy; superb theme.

I do have one suggestion, though; as they are, the taskbar buttons do not give a very good indication of which window has focus. I would suggest a more noticeable color change for the button of the window with focus.

Thanks!
