Description:

This is an indicator applet for VirtualBox that sits in the panel and helps you start and suspend your Virtual Machines from one convenient place in your panel. This wrapper for VirtualBox is written in Python. Currently the installer is pretty archaic, I plan to make deb and rpm packages soon.

There is already such an Indicator Applet: http://www.webupd8.org/2010/12/indicator-virtualbox-launch-virtual.html

However, your looks better. I wonder if there are any conflicts installing both... ?

Yes, I took a look at that applet. But I needed some features that it didn't provide. I have not tried installing both at the same time. This applet simply makes system calls to VBoxManage so I do not see why the two would interfere.

The other applet is very similar, however mind allows you to suspend the VM's as well as run them. This was an important feature for me.. and no after some testing they do not seem to interfere.

Thanks for answering! Can't wait for a .deb (and maybe a PPA).
