Submitted:  Sep 7 2010
Updated:  Sep 8 2010

Description:

Codie 0.3 BETA is a Tiny HTML Editor (in fact 8.8mb)
I am looking for people to use and test it for bugs etc.

Current features are:

Syntax highlighting
File Browser
Preview
Update checker

Basically basic :) but it seems to work fine and and runs on Linux as well as other operating systems.

I have tested it on OpenSuSE with KDE and it worked out the box. Other systems may require QT3 libraries but i believe support is already installed on most of the distros.

The screenshot is a screenshot taken off my website for it.

I hope people can use it and give me feedback for the next releases :)

Please register on my forum and leave feedback and comments.

Source Code is found at my forum: http://elgunvosoftware.com/forums/

Changelog:

8/9/2010

I uploaded version 0.3 with bug fixes, slimmer code, code is also commented and updated the update system.

I updated this app page as people have already seen it.

What I downloaded as source code was in fact, a collection of text files and images. There's no source code there.

Hi,

That is the source code. The text and files are KBasic programming sources. I built this in KBasic.

Its not C++

It uses the qt library because its the embedded design environment and because it can be ported to other platforms easily.

That is the source. Download KBasic for the free non-registered license and you'll see.

Just being curious, why is it based on Qt3?

Okay, I program in a self contained language that contains the components to create the program so im limited on resources. When the program i use is updated i will start with the latest qt release.
