It would be great to add support to add controls to some applications in dockbarx like win seven does, but in seven, it comes from the application, not from dock

Nice mock up. I like the look, the only thing I'm concerned about is that a change like this would make it less... gnome-y.

Just some small first thoughts:

Top-left mockup: Cairo doesn't support gausian blur, which might make a glow like that one hard to achieve. Maybe there's some way to fake blurs or make a good looking glow without bluring?

Down left and right mockkups: I've been thinking about some support for music players. Panflute could be a good backend for this since it supports most music players. Last time I checked panfulte wasn't very well documented yet so I put it on hold.

Another possibility is to go through the indicator applet. You can access indicators via dbus and that could bring program specific menus for more than just music players. Unity does something like that, so it should be possible, even if I haven't figured out how yet.

Things like this will have to wait a bit though. I'm trying to release a more stable 0.40 release first before do any big changes or adding any major features.

Thank you Matias and just take your time, you're making an excellent job with developing dockbarx.

Panflute is a great idea. Im using it now on the panel and i really like it. Why not ask Paul Kuliniewicz perhaps he could help you implement it to dockbarx.

I dont use indicators but what i saw from 10.10 sound indicator screenshots it looks promising and if you could implement this to dbx it would be awesome but i agree a more stable version takes priority :)

I was thinking about something like that since i saw win7. Merging indicators and launchers - they both serve similar goal so why i need this same icon on panel twice? +1 for this mockup.
