 some issues

by shindz on: Jul 24 2010

Score 50%

I use the Awoken icon suite since ago and there is an issue with your setting: the shutdown icon is always red, it shouldn't as in Ubuntu Lucid the red is used to tell that the computer need to restart. as from the original Icon suite, the Evolution and Empathy icon ,from the Messaging menu look old.
I too still have the huge icons on Empathy. http://pix.toile-libre.org/?img=1279931331.png

besides I like the overall theme. Just Elegant

Let me add some more suggestions which may help to improve the theme even more in the next version.
My observations are based on installing the theme on Maverick alpha2 and not on Lucid, so it might not be an issue at all in Lucid.

Missing Icons for apps:
1. Opera
2. Multiget
3. Shotwell Photo Manager
4. Gnome Do

Messaging menu status icons a little truncated.

Maybe provide a wallpaper, with the blurring of panels already done(mentioned in the README) as an option.

The shutdown icon on the panel shuld indicate red, only when a restart is reqd(after an upgrade). In normal stated, probably make that also a monochromish icon to match the rest of the panel icons.

"Messaging menu status icons a little truncated." - already fixed in v0.2.1.

"Maybe provide a wallpaper, with the blurring of panels already done(mentioned in the README) as an option." - I've been thinking about this, but the problem is that the wallpaper have to be the same resolution as the desktop.

"The shutdown icon on the panel shuld indicate red, only when a restart is reqd(after an upgrade). In normal stated, probably make that also a monochromish icon to match the rest of the panel icons." - the problem is that I'm not Ubuntu-user, and this stuff is Ubuntu-specific, so it makes some difficulties in providing and testing this things. But anyway, this is in my TODO for the next release.

Thanks for suggestions

 Uninstall

by flyver on: Jul 24 2010

I love everything except that everything gets too dark for me, I need colours! Especially the icons. Anyway, I don't understand the step where you say to select "2" if you want to uninstall.

The only place I could ever select between 1 and 2 (and 3, 4, 5 etc) was when I was asked what my distribution was.

Basically: how can I uninstall it all?

Thanks!

I'm not sure, I understood your question right or not, but do you have just the original "nautilus" that comes with gnome, or modified "nautilus-elementary"?

So you just need to install "Nautilus-Elementary".
If you got the latest Linux Mint release, based on Ubuntu 10.04, open the terminal and do the next steps:

1. sudo add-apt-repository ppa:am-monkeyd/nautilus-elementary-ppa
2. sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade

Then restart your X session(Log Out and then Log In) and that's it.
