I can't make the theme wich everyone will like, it's impossible. In this theme i've changed the stuff that i didn't like in the previous theme. Someone will like the new theme, someone won't, but the project can't stay on the same place. So this is the users' choise to be conservative or to move on with the project. If you like the Re Crono theme, you can easily download it.

The last one was really nice. This one wasn't too great, mainly because of the latest Murrine gtk.

I installed per your instructions - added the Murrine ppa, etc.

The gtk engine messed up my login screen and some other stuff after I updated and windows reminded me of a poor man's Shiki minus the gradients.
Flat, bland, no mouseovers, etc.

I tried multiple restarts to see if it would settle in and nada.

Obviously something was wrong on the Murrine side of it so I probably do not know what it was actually supposed to look like.

This happened on Ubuntu 10.04.1. I had to purge the Murrine ppa to get things happy again. Since this pack depends on it I had to remove it as well.

Too bad, but it did give me a heads up to a nice theme and icons. I like ReCrono and AwOken a lot.

Everything is fixed anyway.

Thanks.

Actually before changing the GTK theme, i've made a preview of a new theme, to get a feedback, and i've got more positive feedback than negative. Also I like the new improvements that come with the new Murrine Engine, that's why i decided to use it in the new theme. One more good thing about new theme is that it uses only one GTK engine, instead of 2(Re Crono). The Re Crono theme was a good start, but i'm not gonna stay with it forever.

You do really good work man. Like I said, I was experiencing a prob with the Murrine GTK daily. Maybe I should have done a complete removal of the old engine first? I don't know.
I might give your rpm a try on PCLOS Gnome and see how that is.
Anyway I'll be keeping an eye out for your new stuff.
Thanks again.

You don't need to run this 2 times:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:murrine-daily/ppa

If you already did this, then run:
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade

And then restart your X server( if you don't know what it is, just reboot your machine)
That's it.

 Banshee

I really like your theme and the direction you are taking it.

There seems to be a minor issue with banshee (1.7.0), the track info menu bar (track number/name/album/etc.) is white which makes the text virtually unreadable.

Thanks for such a great theme

Figured it out.

The problem seems to be with the 'banshee-meego' extension. Removing that lets banshee work normally with your theme.

Thanks again :-)

Hm..I do not know what does it depend.
Maybe this is not a good idea for you, but you can try to remove a banshee folder(~/.config/banshee-1), this will restore banshee settings to defaults. And see if it helps.

Oh my God...
Please, read the Description from the beginning, especially this part:

IMPORTANT: New GTK theme uses the latest Murrine Engine from GIT, make sure that you have it installed on your system before complaining about GTK-related issues.
Ubuntu users can install the latest Murrine Engine from this PPA:
