 ACDSee icons

Copyright issue

If the small 16x16 filetype icons are taken from ACDSee for Windows, they are copyrighted. Yes, they are small, but they are still copyrighted and they need to be changed.

Ideas for this KSquirrel

Why not try WarrenView (works with Wine, similar and very good), also
GLiv.

Hi.

They are NOT taken from ACDSee. I took an IDEA from ACDSee, and based my icons on "thumbnail.png" icon from Crystal theme by (C) Everlado.

Thank you!
The creation of packages for Debian Unstable for both the libs and the app works very well.

 OpenSuse

Hello,

I like that tool, I had a very old version for SuSE and I try to compile an actual one since a long time but it does not work.
Compiling the library on OPENSUSE 10 is no problem (./configure.gnu!) but allways the make of the main programm fails.

What can I do to get it compiled on OPENSUSE ?

My problems start with:
sq_filter.cpp:24:28: error: sq_imagefilter.h: Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden (file not found)

Best regards, Norbert

 Configure errors

by HansP on: Jan 9 2006

I installed the libs without big problems (see below). But then I got

"configure: error: Ksquirrel-libs development files are not installed. Please install them first."

Didn't the configure script find the libs I installed before or are the development files something else? In the latter case there must be something missing in the installation instructions.

Something else: Before I used --without-arts, the configure complained about mcopidl missing and told me to install aRts or lose functionality. Now as far as I know aRts is for sound. What functionality will I lose with an image viewer??

if /usr/include/ksquirrel-libs/ doesn't exist, you didn't install ksquirrel-libs correctly. That's why KSquirrel can't find development files.

[Now as far as I know aRts is for sound. What functionality will I lose with an image viewer??]

KSquirrel doesn't use arts, configure checks for it automatically.

Hi
The actual error I am getting is
checking for pkg-config... /usr/bin/pkg-config
checking pkg-config is at least version 0.9.0... yes
checking for ksquirrellibs_CFLAGS...
checking for ksquirrellibs_LIBS...
configure: error: Ksquirrel-libs development file (.pc) is not installed. Please install ksquirrel-libs first.
But I have ksquirrel-libs installed in /usr/local
I made a symlink to /usr/include
still no go
Anil

Try

# export PKG_CONFIG_PATH=/usr/local/lib/pkgconfig

before configuring and compiling KSquirrel.

I'm maintaining this package for ArchLinux, but am not able to update to 0.6.2 due to same error as above, despite changes in --prefix, and other config variables.
What file (probably the .pc file) is ksquirrel explicit looking for and how can I force configure to look at a specific location for it, as all changes seem not to have any effect....

Also forcing ksquirrel-libs to the correct location with --prefix=/usr does not have any effect

Thanks

Hi. Currently I have no time to develop KSquirrel, I'll try to solve this problem as soon as possible. Thanks.
