 too homogeneous

by zentili on: Mar 16 2010

the theme looks too homogeneous to me, same color almost everywhere, there's not enough contrast between buttons and backgrounds. I hope you'll improve it, because it has potentiality. Just an opinion.

This is simply an amazing theme, but the new version is kind of buggy. When I log out and then login the theme stops working. Like when you install a theme but you don't have the engine required.

I've uploaded a pic on my flickr account so you can see what I'm talking about.

the things is that i cannot really reproduce your problem. did you install it into /usr/share/themes?

I dont think it is a problem in the theme, because i didnt change too many things.

This exact same problem has been happening with me too since your last theme update. The first version of the theme used to work perfectly fine though.

Yes, I installed it there. I alway do that because I don't trust the appearance window because sudo apps look crappy.

I'll download it again here and on Deviantart and install it once more to see if it's a Gnome-look error or something, who knows!

Well it still does it no matter if it's deviantart or gnome-look. If I switch to the theme all opened windows and apps theme well, but opening a new app doesn't theme well. Nautilus works fine (and looks beautiful) no matter if I open a window after choosing the theme.

 Clock kicks ass!

Can you share the code you used for the custom format of the clock applet? It should be like that by default, it saves a lot of space and looks very slick.

Thank's and keep up the good work!

No, it's not the default. I'm using Lucid as well and the clock is still the same as always.

I don't know about your system, but when I choose your theme the clock applet changes. The date goes on top of the clock. I prefer it that way because it saves much more space. I've found some clock tweaks on OMG!Ubuntu! but none of those look like the one your theme features.

Of course. I added two pics on my Flickr account, one with Lucidity and the other with your version of Radiance. The thing with the applet is very weird because I've never seen a theme that modifies the Gconf keys. At first I thought it was a new panel modification on Lucid but when I changed the theme the clock applet went back to the default setting.

 bug

by rydz on: Mar 21 2010

hi
there is a little mistake in theme. In definition of text's colour (text_color:##1A1A1A) are 2 hashes, what often makes that we are getting aplication without used theme (naked ? gtk) You just need to delete one hash and then everything will be alright
