Description:

Most programmers often write small test code or example code for themselves or for helping others, these small code pieces are named snippets.
Snippeq saves snippets in a MySql Database and provides functionality for searching, manipulating and exporting them. With the import/export function you are able to share snippets with your friends. Syntax highlighting is provided using QScintilla.

Snippeq depends on:
Qt 3.2.x
QScintilla
MySql
see the INSTALL file for more information on the dependencies.

Changelog:

- 0.0.1: Initial release.
- New hoster.

Thanks for the feedback.
Snippeq is a pure Qt application without any KDE dependencies and I honestly don't want to make it KDE dependent(want to go on with using qmake as the build system and for realizing your suggestion it would be better to use autotools).

Michael.

This is a very cool and original idea! So far I've always kept my snippets in a text document. It was real hard to find something when needed. Your project will definitely be useful for me.

Thanks alot!

Christian

 MySQL

I forgot...MySQL might be too big as a dependency for a tool like this. How about sqlite? AFAIK Qt 3.3 comes with a sql module for it.

Yep, you're right, MySql is a big dependency and I will probably add support for Sqllite.

Thank you for your feedback!

Michael.

DECSA Computer Security

This can be done in Kjots, and possibly, Treeline, Tuxcards, Notebook Manager, etc. If you don't mind a little bit more writing. I use Kjots as a code snippet library, and it works just fine.
