Description:

GreenTea Theme for GNOME 2.x

This is a very pretty theme that, despite its bright elements, is a dark theme - one that lacks the bugs so many dark themes have. It is based upon the Dust theme and is loosely inspired by the Linux Mint theme, who has seemed to mainstream a green theme in the Linux world.

This theme is an extra theme that is part of UberStudent Linux, see http://uberstudent.org for more info.

The download includes both the GTK and Metacity GreenTea themes. The theme depends on gnome-wise-icon-theme which is available in most package managers. Ubuntu users can search in Synaptic with that term and install.

It has only been tested in GNOME. To install the theme, read the READ ME file in the tar file..

Also available is A+SkyAndSea.

 Green Tea

I like the idea of the theme; however although the gtk files appear to be available within xfce for some reason the menu background nor the highlight bar appear as they do in the sample file. What does appear normally is the scroll bar and that is about it.

I think the students involved made a good effort; however there is work yet to be done.

Good luck though. Perhaps in the next release there will be improvements.

It has only been tested in GNOME, and is unlikely to be made to work with XFCE,

It looks like you could use the Xfwm themes for Shiki-Colors for a titlebar. Mind you, it won't be the same as what's in the screenshot, but it'll look nice. (I too am an Xfce user, BTW)
