An aurorae theme based on air plasma theme and with oxygen-lookalike buttons

- inner borders
- tabs (needs a better support in kde 4.6)

- remove overlay

Have you got Aurorae installed ?
if it is the case, go to the systemsettings, in the Window page and select Aurorae.
After that, you can download Air-oxygen throught KHNS (the button "Get new themes")

You can compile it from source:

too transparent?

This is really beautiful. I've been waiting for the new KDE4.4 titlebar button look, and you nailed it.

But... the whole titlebar's too transparent for my liking. Stuff behind it shows through to the extent that it gets in the way of even reading the window title. Is there an easy way to turn down the transparency. The Aurorae engine doesn't offer such a setting on the 'Window' control panel where you select it.

Also, while I'm at it, it'd be nice to allow the window border width to be shrunken.

I don't know whether the Aurorae engine allows for such configurability. If not, would you recommend against trying to tweak the theme myself?

Well, I found the air-oxygenrc file, and modifying the borders was easy. But there's nothing in there about transparency.

Saw comments on the Aurorae engine page to the effect that the transparency is specified by the SVG's in the theme. I assume that's the decoration.svgz file. I tried uncompressing that and brought it up in GIMP, though I don't know enough about GIMP to mess with the transparency. In any case, it's only the active titlebar I want to be less transparent, and since there only seems to be one titlebar SVG, I guess I'm out of luck.

Yes, you must modify the alpha value of the gradient used in the decoration. Gimp is not made for edit svg. Try to learn how use Inkscape.

This decoration is very transparent because I want the background be blurry behind it. Anyway, it doesn't seem supported with current KWin.

not differentiate active from inactive windows and is very transparent and that makes it almost is no different letters in the decor and the window that is behind

The only thing I would say is; The active window shadow is hard coded to the svgz file, so if people use a different colour scheme, they still get the same blue shadow glow.

I'm not sure if the hint-apply-color-scheme will help here or if it's supported by aurorae.

Hi, I use Kubuntu 9.10 and installed aurorae (KDE4.3.5) but when I try to download this theme to my aurorae, it shows me just buttons, without decorations. Previous version of this deco was OK. Quite strange thing...

Have you got Aurorae installed ? if it is the case, go to the systemsettings, in the Window page and select Aurorae. After that, you can download Air-oxygen throught KHNS (the button "Get new themes")
