Description:

A KSplashX theme for Kubuntu Karmic, inspired by Ubuntu\\\'s xsplash..
Aiming to be as close as possible.

[KDM-THEME]- SUN/11/OCT/09 -

I now have a fisrt KDM theme done, also thanks to cialdo99 for helping out.

[THEME-INFO]
As for now, there is only support for 1280x1024 resolution. More will be added soon! **see whats next.
Theme is still far from done, I release often and rapidly to get feedback.. not because it is finished, there will still be a lot of changes..
If you have something to share, please send me a mail. :-)

Have fun...

## Whats next? ##

- More polishing

- Just bought me a new LCD-Monitor with a HD resolution, so that means more resolutions are coming in just a few days:-)

- Animated progress bar, similar to xsplash (if possible???)

- Decided to make a complete KubuntuVision theme will include a KDM,KSplash and Plasma theme....

- KDM: Kubuntu logo will be added, first when there will be no more fittings..

Changelog:

## KDM Added
- added a KDM theme version 0.0.1

## Version 0.0.2 - Ksplash

- Kubuntu logo is now a little smaller and put more to the center
- Fade-icons removed and replaced with a neat not fully polished Glow-progress-bar.

Great job, can't wait to see widescreen version :D

I posted brainstorm and questions why Kubuntu doesn't get fancy x based splash, and still no answer.
But hopefully with good community we can make Kubuntu look better :D

 more sizes

I found out by accident that if a make one directory to save in . and start with a back ground for each size . save all in on directory . KsplasherX will make me a directory for each size . it will only then make one preview and one rc file.(once you choose the save directory it is saved you can exit program and start process over) but you will have every resolution. I then compress the directory into one tar.gz dolphin does this for me by right clicking. now i have a installable file with all the resolutions. the average file size for me is around 27mg. which is why i use free file hosting. Nice splash by the way > I love the new stuff i am seeing.

I've read you want to create a Kdm theme from tihs splash screen, what do you tink about that:

Can you please post a changelog every time you update content.

It seems that you update content pretty often but it would be nice to see those changes trough changelog without having to download the package.

Sure... I suggest your using KDE as your Desktop of choice.. It wont work under GNOME .. You go to systemsettings than to appearance, klick on Splash Screen and install new theme.... Thats it :-) Have fun...
