 Heat colors

Hi,

Check out the following site to see heat colors :

http://www.blksmth.com/heat_colors.htm

... wouldn't it be nice if the colors used in the applet would follow a real heat scale.

 Colors

Thanks for your work, the icons look great! I think also, that the colors should be different. The lowest cpu states should have a cool color like blue, then green, orange and full speed should be red. Imho this would make more sense.

When I gave it at thought, I decided to make colors representing CPU power not the core temperature. This way, when CPU is at full power it shows green in such way saying "go ahead do something useful with all that power" :)
There is different applet for gnome panel that shows CPU temperature, for that one I am planning to create a set of icons with colors representing temperature, "cool color like blue, then green, orange and full speed will be red".

Thanks for the comments.

One of those themes could be the default one of the application!

Great job, fits nicely into the panel.

Although, would you consider making some more humanity-alike tray icons such as for pidgin, dropbox?

In my free time, I would love to draw some more icons, but at the moment I have to study, do experiments in laboratory for my research, plus have to do every part time job available, since the science budget in Latvia was cut so badly that all the researchers do not get paid from summer.
I have created icon for ubuntuone, you can check it out in my other contents.

Thanks for your reply.

I totally understand what you said. I just began law studies ( I live in Poland ) and I'm starting to realise what it is to study :) I wish you best.

I would love to see more icons like that , too shiny icons kill usability.

Vote for the return of simple and clean designed icons , peoples ! \o/

Ok, thanks.
I have made 32x32 icons with your svg file. But the applet don't support bigger icons. In fact, the applet shows the 32x32 icons almost like the 24x24 icons.
