Description:

This Theme tries to fit to the new Xsplash of Karmic. It is a dark theme so dont touch this if you dont like dark themes. This theme will be too dark if you have a dark display. Its ideal for notebooks i think. I am still not finished and i need some help from you. Especially the colours need some work i think. Does it fit the wallpaper on your screen? Too dark? Too bright? Please help me with the name.

Most credits go to SamSamTS because this theme is based on his beautiful sugar-themes.

Help me find a nice name for the theme!

Changelog:

10.11.2009
- Added XFCE-Patch (Thanks a lot to AresRog!!!)

9.11.2009

The panel text should be the same color as the icons there. I think it would bring some consistency ;)

Also, steal the nautilus sidebar mod from here: http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Humanity?content=112505

Otherwise, looking good.

Hi DanRabbit,

I tested it with changing the text-color of the panel to fit the color of the panel-icons. I used Humanity-Dark which i found in your bzr-branch. The problem is, it would be too grey. It would not fit anymore to the rest of the theme. If you send me your email i could send you a pic of the desktop.
Another thing: Which sidebar-Mod do you exactly mean? I installed the Humanity-gtk-theme but could not find the mod. Could you show me a picture of it?

Thank you very much for your suggestions. Hopefully the theme will be finished soon.

Oh okay. Another thing I was looking at was the panel here: http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Lithium+-+GTK,+Emerald,+Metacity?content=113368

Very slick, and I think it fits the idea of the theme ;)

If you browse through the code, you'll be able to see it pretty easily. There is a pretty decent chunk that deals with fixing the sidebar. Better alignment of icons, adding a color (or not), thinning the little separator, making the top header thing not so ugly ;)

 Brown

Brown is one of the most difficult colors to work with. It is hard to create an attractive theme using this color scheme. Your theme has potentials but like the dust theme, part of karmic release, has a dirty feel to it, due to the nature of the color.

I'm currently using this on Karmic and it's staying on here even after the official release is ready. Loving the dark, earthy feel to it. Thanks! :)

Linux is not for everyone, but it is for me :)

 Screensver Lock

it really looks great, but we miss a important part of the theme, the screensaver-lock dialog.

Can you make it compatible?

----------
I'm using only the window border(Metacity), just looks amazing with Dust GTK.

Which lock-dialog you mean? When i lock the screen i can see a dialog. I am sure you mean something i havent seen yet.

 Beautiful

I love it. By far the best theme to me. I think it would be perfect if the panel looked the same as your window frame with just a light highlight.

Well i tried to make one. please test it. I am very bad in this and would be happy when someone (who is much better than me in gimp or photoshop) could make a better and more original panel-png for karmic X. My one seems to be too transparent and i do not know how to make it less transparent.
