Great idea! I'd like to see some control over the font size. It would also be good if you could schedule the frequency for new quotes to be downloaded.

The Pope?

I guess I'm more concerned about the Pope than God. Multitudes of people with their finger on the button, are willing to fight to the death either for him or against him. His minions have often claimed he's God on earth. Does this plasmoid have any quotes like that?

Some of them might be, I didn't read all of them. For your information though, most countries that can "press the button" are not catholic and couldn't care less about the pope.

The us gov? Neo cons hate catholics, as for the obama administration they're protestants too. France is secular and the brits are not catholics. The pope is pretty irrelevant today and has no say in most things. Only South America still listens to him, and less so as years pass...

No, I don't have to make a strong argument, you don't get it. You're the one making the extraordinary claim of a catholic conspiracy so you have to prove your point, not me, I'm not making any claim. And saying that many people are catholic in the gov doesn't prove anything but your paranoia.

This should be installed by default in every distro. It's a nice way to start the day. One thing, though: how can I change the font color? I can't see anything unless I select it manually.

Failure

The only quotation plasmoid around and I get failure during installation :(

Make sure you have plasma-scriptengine-webkit or equivalent installed if you use kubuntu, you also need kde 4.3 or newer.

I have Gentoo with KDE-4.3.4. There isn't such a package. When I run plasmapkg -i atheist.plasmoid it says it can not be installed.

Ok, I looked at the code. This is rather childish. A proper widget ought to be written that is more consistent with Wikiquotes in general.

Dude, this is not a wikiquote plasmoid, it's just an atheist quote plasmoid. Also Budha was not the greatest atheist as there is no such thing anyway. If you don't like it, feel free to improve it or change it. I don't have time to work on it now.
