Description:

This mockup is still wip, it doesn't cover all widgets yet and I still need to check what can actually be done with Quantumstyle/dekorator/aurorae.

Suggestions and constructive criticism is very welcome :)

Changelog:

0.2 (Second Screenshot) Some improvements

Problems:
*Buttons could be improved a bit.
*I doubt a transperant menubar is possible with quantumstyle
* still not happy with the winow decoration

 Transparent menus

I dont think you can do transparent menus with the style engine. But you can always turn them ON from KWin effects. There is a Transparency plugin what allows you to set menus independently if wanted.

I like the style of mockup, clean, pure and someway very simple when the sidebars on dolphin are darker.

if you are not happy with it maybe you can try less transparency and add 3d like texture.. something like in skulpture http://www.kde-look.org/content/preview.php?preview=1&id=86125&file1=86125-1.jpeg&file2=86125-2.png&file3=86125-3.png&name=Skulpture

 At long (sort-of) LAST!!

Like rasi said I like the idea that someone is finally using the quantum engine which IMHO is a very bright idea all in itself ...

And for the mock up I like it ,I have some notes (of my taste!!):

I don't mind the black & white but i think the panels (Places,Information ..)
should have some kind of a black header instead of white or a continuation to the shine effect (somthing that isn't a full transition from the color of the panel )

The grey color feels a little out of place or a little too plane to me .!

The shapes of the tabs , panel headers and window corners should be somewhat similar or parallel (I think it relaxes the eyes if the all the theme lines seem to be going in one direction)

But hey .. that's my personal taste ...and you did a good job
