************* ATTENTION! *************
Please! Help spread the word! Write about this transformation pack
on forums, desktop customization sites, blog about it, digg it etc.
And please, please, seed!

Vistar7 Transformation Pack makes Kubuntu Jaunty 9.04 looks and in some
areas works like Windows 7.
This transformation pack is for private use only! It was made purely for
educational purposes. It's a proof of concept, showing how flexible is KDE4
and that Windows7 interface is really similar to KDE4.
It is NOT RECOMMENDED FOR DAILY USE because it comes with absolutely
no support, updates, fixes etc.
You are on your own with all problems concerning this transformation pack.
Tested on fresh Kubuntu Jaunty 9.04.

It was nice to work on this pack, but I believe that original KDE4 is better:).

Try to check the themes for your Kubuntu and if the Vistar is selected.

Also,

If you want to merge this theme with your account = http://pastebin.com/f5e271ec4

save and use this ./install script isntead of the standard one.

It is not supported by the creator or me. But this worked flawless on my laptop.

Best Regards
Commander/Galactica

First off this is a great theme, thanks. But the grouped tasks do not expand like in your screen shot. How do I get it to expand with preview. It will show preview when its not in a group.

 Kubuntu 9.10 install issues

 by triumph50 on: Nov 7 2009

I installed vistar7 on Kubuntu 9.10 and when I log into vistar7, I get a black screen after the initial splash screen. All seems to be installed, vistar7 theme is chosen (and used on my actual account) sounds, mouse icons are being used, but the screen itself is blank.
I do have a prompt that will occur if I do a switch user choice, and that prompt is correctly decorated with the vistar7 theme and icon, which really looks nice as well.
But..lol..nothing but a black screen. I realize that Kubuntu was not the intended OS focus but I kind of had hoped that there may be a possibility it would of worked. Is there any way of letting us know of what packages were all used so we can kind of piece it together on our machines?

Thanks in advance!

But a good thing came out of it ^_^. after i gave up i let my non-linux user friend use my laptop. me completely forgetting that he knows half of my passwords that i use, he went and fucked my laptop causing me to pull out my 9.04 disk, so i will try installing vistar under 9.04 then distro upgrade after it is installed. i will report if this works

it should right?
