Description:

I did this just for curiosity.
To install this theme get Segoe UI font (TTF) and save it in /home/username/.fonts

if .fonts does not exist then create it. :-)

1) Shut down, Lock and options buttons changed.
2)Search box image changed.
3)Introduced glass effect

It's actually like this....

I am just 16 and took hard time to make this. So I want to make it the best theme ever in the history of mimicking windows. As soon as the work is over I will release on my site with a password which will be distributed to a no. of people only. It is because everything has been taken from Windows 7 Dlls. If you could wait for a week or so you will get theme and the procedure also

Das ist eine Theme Seite für den GNOME Desktop!!
Erstelle lieber ein gutes Theme für Gnome statts das Theme von Windows zu kopieren.
Nutze doch lieber Windows, wenn es dir so gut gefällt.
Ich kann da nicht verstehen, das es hier so viele gibt die froh unter munter die Themes von Windows Nachahmen.
Ich finde das einfach nur peinlich!

Sweet Lord, not again.

There is nothing, repeat, NOTHING wrong with mimicing a beautiful interface, regardless of OS choice. Windows 7 has a nice interface. So does Mac OS X. So does Vista. So people bring these interfaces to the Linux desktop. Beautiful interfaces but with awesome Linux under the hood. Sounds good to me.

Instead, we get people whining "BAWWWWW GNOME IS NOT WINDOWS BAWWWW!"

Seriously, it's getting old.

P.S. Excellent menu theme.

If you want to make your desktop look like windows, nobody cares.
You can create your windows like theme and use it. Personally, I dont like the vista style by the way, but who cares.
So create your theme and use it, nobody will say anything.
But ripping(!) the image files from a windows .DLL and then sell the content as yours, this is just contumelious.

Anyway, this is one of the main reasons why a LOT of talented themers shy away from this site; because of flamers that do nothing but, well, flame others....

When attempting to extract the startbutton and the icons for your theme, I get the following error:
Quote:
tar xf Desktop/"Windows7 icons for startmenu.tar.gz" -C Desktop/Test
tar: Desktop/Windows7 icons for startmenu.tar.gz: Cannot open: No such file or directory
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now

This is because you (or the site you're hosting them on) puts quotes around the file names. I just thought that you should know. It's an easy fix, but its annoying.
