Submitted:  May 4 2009
Updated:  Nov 7 2010

Description:

My first stab at Linux GUI, another Leopard emulation version...

2 styles:
-Unified caption
-\'Single\' caption

* metacity themes foe each sub-style

Initially used Leopardish as platform, gradually evolving into something else.

Elements/Images are my own (except maybe some small arrows here and there...)
Icons in theme Icons folder are mac$lin's except up arrow. (hope they won't mind, I can make them if they insist...)

By the way, to have opacity for panel and menus using Compiz...
CompizConfig Settings Manager > Opacity, Brightness, Saturation (under Accessibility) > Opacity Tab > NEW button >
write/create the following items, and opacity for each, your choice:

dock
dropdownmenu
popupmenu

===============================
TO REMOVE ICONS IN BUTTONS OF GNOME 2.26+:
- Press Alt + F2
- Type- gconf-editor and hit Enter.
- Go to Desktop –> GNOME –> Interface
- Uncheck the key- buttons_have_icons
===============================

Changelog:

5 May 2009
-reduced button height for a more os x look (includes reducing button icon image to 16x16)
-smoother scrollbar flow images

Panel (top bar):
-set Gnome panel properties to use system theme for panel background
-added more applets to inherit theme panel background
-panel has own handle (transparent)independent of main theme vertical handles
-fixed (removed) down arrow for main menu

Tabs:

-increased padding between text and tab side borders
-removed tab overlapping (this is a compromise, still don't know how to maipulate tabs)

Menus
-Reduced left/right padding in dropdown and popup menus

-Added Ludida Sans in pack

22 May 2009:
changed widget images, adjusted image metrics:

Sorry, but ... have you eve seen real leopard? If you have, you'd know that this theme is another piece of sh*t in a row. I know this is due to limitations of GTK engines, but that is no excuse. You can always create your own engine :-)

LOL!!! thanks mate. coming from you, it sure is a compliment.
Yes I have seen Leopard in action, Yes I know GTK limitations. For me, the thrill is trying to emulate another GUI, in this case Leopard. Not 100% emulation of course, because Leopard has also lots of ugly parts, going against principles and concepts of design etc.

I am new to Linux, so I don't really know my way around. Being an expert with Linux GUIs, maybe you can point to me, or suggest an engine that passes your standards so I may take a look at it.

For your first go this is rather impressive - well done.

Don't worry about the ignorant comments from some of the users... Most of them have nothing but negativity and hatred to offer - usually under an account with no content - no friends - no groups just nasty commentary.

I am running Global Menu with Main Meni enabled....

The black bar in panel is due to vertical handle. You can make that transparent by editing vert-handle.png located in //Handles folder.

why not just use a solid panel background and play with the colors and opacity/transparency?

you can also edit panel-bg.png located in Panel folder, or play around with panel opacity using Compiz > General Settings (how? google it mate xD)

btw, just updated the release...
