 version 0.4

Version 0.4 is awesome. I want to thank you for implementing the features you did!

This is a wonderful application and is an excellent tool.

I'm not sure how involved you want the program to be, but implementing a bandwidth usage graph like in xnetload or like in the tmon extension of superkaramba would be really neat and useful. Although I am unsure how difficult coding something of that sort would be.

HI again....
Hope you get this one, i won't attach the mockups this time, hopefully i can get them to you when we get to speak.

Basically i wanted to try and help development in some way to make the app more user-friendly interface wise as to help acceptance into KDE-proper, this is as i believe that KDE needs these sort of things, and given it is distro-neutral it should be in there!

Anyways, it would be great if you could setup a Sourceforge account, then we can make use of a Mailing List to speak about improvements and provide a 'sure-fire' way of getting in touch, from there we can discuss meeting up on IRC and ways to improve the app, extend it!

Just incase you can't or don't want to setup a SF account, here's how to get in touch via IRC:

server irc? irc.freenode.net
port? 6667
gmt time? 1500 GMT onwards on the 31st Jan
channel? #slicker
nick? cmf

just use ksirc or something to get on IRC.

thanks again
Lou Grenwood

 Suggestion

This is such a great application. I think it should be included with KDE.

Is it possible to add wlan0 to the list of devices in a next release? Right now it works perfectly with wlan0 ... but I have to edit the config file manually to add it. When I add a new user I have to edit each user manually as well. Sure I can put a default config in skel ... but that wouldnt help any of my current users.

What do you think?

 The icons

First of all...it is good idea to have such feature in KDE by default, since sometimes I have no idea whether my network is transmitting data or not untill It finishes. Now it is all interactive :)

Then, the Icon that shows in the tray (I use your net_round theme), is way too small...I can't even see it if I dont go closer to the monitor.

Can you make in your next version the program to remember which is the last used Device, since my eth0 is not running but eth1, and I have to select each time it starts that eth1 is the one I want...and some better look perhaps :)

Great work! Keep on...

There is a difference between knowing the path and walking the path! If it is c:\ it will crash..

...it's "Latest Release" not
"Last Release". Every time
you publish a new version I
get a small shock because I
think this app is discontinued ;-)
Keep up the good work...
