Description:

.. is an advanced twin panel (commander style) file manager for KDE 3,
similar to Midnight or Total Commander (formerly Windows Commander), with
many extras. It provides all the file-management features you could possibly
want.

Plus: extensive archive handling, mounted filesystem support, FTP, advanced

comparisons, powerful batch renaming and much much more.

It supports the following archive formats: tar, zip, bzip2, gzip, rar, ace,
arj and rpm and can handle other KIOSlaves such as smb or fish. It is
(almost) completely customizable, very user friendly, fast and looks great on
your desktop! :-)

 KPart

One of the biggest reasons why I prefer Konqueror and not Krusader is the lack of support of KPart in Krusader. Any change it will in the future?

The viewer and editor (F3 / F4) are using KParts. I don't understand your request

What I mean is when I open e.g. a text-file, a (k)word-file, a video, a website/html-file, etc. in Konqueror it opens in Konqueror using a kpart. Especially opening a text file or a html-file is great.

The "view panel" tab in the popup panel does that. It opens about any kpart, including pdfs, videos, etc.

However, it's not a very stable feature and might crash Krusader on some file types.

How can I have SuSE 10.1 use Krusader instead of Konqueror by default?

 drive letter

 by rockprincess on: Jan 7 2007

Score 50%

total commander has it, gnome commander has it as well....I'm talking about the drive letters which makes it easier to navigate from one harddisk to another or to a cdrom drive or to an usb stick....etc..

this can be seen in the following screenshots
http://www.nongnu.org/gcmd/ss/def_big.png (the drop-down menu where it says home)
and here
http://www.ghisler.com/images/wcmdbig.gif (a, c, d, g, 0, \)

one big bonus of Krusader is that it looks much nice than ANY file manager, but it would be neat to have this feature as well ;)

hope it's not too difficult to implement ;)

thank you!

rockprincess

ps, i prefer the total commander way, although it might take away too much space that could be used somewhere else?!

Have you seen the new media button?
Granted, it's not the same as the buttons you are talking of, but you get fast access to all your devices through shortcuts (Ctrl+Shift+Left/Right) or by holding the left mouse button on it.

 config error

Hi,
During config I get the following error;
config.status: error: cannot find input file: doc/it/Makefile.in

I have all the devel packages for my distro (Ark Linux). Perhaps I'm missing something or running a diff version than what is needed?

Thanks!
PS great app, I use it for archiving. Well done.

I got the same error along with another:

configure: creating ./config.status
wrong input (flag != 4) at admin/conf.change.pl line 117, line 1263.
config.status: creating Makefile
config.status: creating doc/Makefile
config.status: creating doc/en/Makefile
config.status: error: cannot find input file: doc/it/Makefile.in

I ignored the errors and proceeded with make and got:

cd . && /bin/sh ./config.status config.h
config.status: creating config.h
make all-recursive

Help?

Please try this before you run configure:
