    Changelog:

The KMess team announces the availability of a new KMess point release: KMess 2.0.6.1, the newest version of the Live Messenger (MSN) client, powered by the KDE platform. As usual with our 2.0 point releases, it contains a lot of bug fixes, but also general improvements, and even some new features. Here is a quick highlight of the changes in this new version:

Added tabs to the Contact Added User dialog.
Added a fading effect when switching between the initial view and the contact list.
Fixed login issues due to changes in the MSN protocol.
Fixed possible crashes with the Contact Added User dialog.
Fixed retrieval of display pictures from the online MSN storage.
    Various other smaller fixes...

    From FAQ:
    --------------------
    Q. Can you add voice chat support to KMess?

    A. The code is available. If you want voice chat support, implement it yourself.
    ---------------------

This is exciting news! Your answer though limits the voice-chat support to a very small audience.

Any chance it may come pre-implemented in any future versions of kmess?

A guy is working on it, so it may happen. Apparently he's got it working with sipset.

Any plans for webcam support on future Kmess releases, like MSN 6 has? On is there already a plug-in, I haven't found?

    Thanks,

    Roy

     Voice and Webcam!

There are many Multiprotocol clients like Gaim, Kopete, Ayttm, etc., available for GNU/Linux, Then why would anybody want to use KMess?

What's better in KMess compared to Gaim/Kopete? Apparently nothing!

If you Love KMess and want it to be acceptable to all Linux MSN users, then please support VOICE Chat and Webcam Support (which is about to be implemented in Kopete).

I'm not discouraging, but asking you to make it a real USEFUL MSN application. And you can do that cause you are having only 1 protocol instaed of many! which makes your work easier.

    Thanks anyways.
