Description:

For all you "Blubuntu" fans out there, i've created a more bluish, Vista style background for your desktops. This edition features a blue Ubuntu logo and matches well with the HumanAzul icon theme. It's stunning on any Ubuntu desktop but looks especially well with Beryl/Compiz effects enabled. Enjoy!

 Explain to me..

Gnome is quite beautiful the way it is, with themes based on Murrine and the usage of Beryl your computer will look sleeker then anything on the market.

Then why oh why do you have to have a "vista-look"? (which in my opinion is too glassy and too ugly.)

To top everything and make it even worse, you run a Linux desktop (you can be proud of yourself!) and you have a Windows Icon as Start button...... WHY!!!

A surely have no problems with posting such content on gnome-look (as long as I don't have to use it) but I am just so curious why anybody would do such a thing.

As sick as I am of Vista themes, I really like the work he did here. Also, his desktop looks really nice. Give him a break. Besides, Vista themes are all the rave now. Perhaps, some positive encouragement would help the artist, and other members of the community produce more fine work.

I didn't say his artwork was bad.. I think the artists has good skills.. I simply don't understand why anybody would place a Windows startbutton on his Linux desktop..

Sorry, my misunderstanding, I should have read more carefully. I don't understand either, Great desktop after you subtract the icon.

Indeed, it is the same with the darn apple icons some themes use for the main menu. I don't find necessary to castrate the identity of the OS you are currently using, if you don't like it why use it?
