How have you tweaked your shadow setting? What are the values for your settings? Outside of using the Kcontrol panel module, have you found any additional information on tweeking the kompmanager settings?

I do not use the xcompmgr to get shadows. xcompmgr crashes on the xorg I have with Slackware 10.1 so I use a patch for KDE 3.3.2 (my kde). I don't remember the url but I will upload it these days. The shadow values I use are the defaults this patch uses.

I have an issue with the upper bar (mac os like: menus of the current app).
firstly when I added it and changed my desktop style and windeco to Baghira, the corners were rounded like in your screenshot, but then they returned squared. it's ugly now!! how can I make them rounded again?! I actually did not change anything, they made everything by themselves.

another (little) thing. i have not installed the complete Baghira thing, but i downloaded it from Ubuntu/debian repos: so I can't install the "baghira starter" that most of you proudly display. I had to use kbfx instead -.-''

I don't know if I explained well, if you don't understand this rubbish english I'll post a screenshot!

Well, I for one don't quite like the baghira starter, it's buggy and it crashed on my system a lot. So I used the K menu instead. It looks great with the right icon theme. The only thing is the down arrow in the corner (if that bothers you).
