Description:

A very basic and small shell script for encoding video files to the H.265/HEVC video format using ffmpeg and libx265. I wrote it for my own use to encode Blu-ray remuxes that h264enc has problems with so it wont be anything professional like my h264enc script. The following is what it can/cant do

* it uses a configuration file in $HOME/.ffhevc to set things up.
* it supports only regular video files as input.
* it supports copying virtually an unlimited amount of subtitles.
* it supports virtually an unlimited amount of audio tracks for encoding.
* it supports either encoding an audio track to AC-3, DTS, MP3, Vorbis, FLAC, PCM, Opus or AAC audio or copying that track.
* it does not support inverse telecine.
* it supports one denoise filter.
* it supports one audio volume filter.
* it outputs by default to the mkv container but you can change that in the config file.
* it encodes using CRF, no 1- or 2-pass.
* it automatically detects the crop values needed.
* it optionally scales the video.
* it optionally deinterlaces the input file.
* it supports limited amount of user-provided metadata.

Changelog:

* Added support for the new vaguedenoiser filter. Requires latest ffmpeg from git
* Merged the mp3 audio code with the rest
* Auto-add a metadata comment
* Updated the README file
