Description:

winplacement is a small tool that move the active window to the left, right, top or bottom side of your desktop. You can choose between half and golden ratio splitting.
The package is containing a khotkeys file that can be imported in KDE.

You can use the hotkeys
Win+Left arrow: move a window to the left side
Win+Right arrow: move a window to the right side
Win+Up arrow: move a window to the top half after moving left or right
Win+Down arrow: move a window to the bottom half after moving left or right
If you hold the shift key in addition the splitting will be result in the bigger part of the golden ratio. For the smaller part hold the ctrl key.

Type winplacement -h for all options and try it.

I have compiled the program and it seams to work perfectly. Can you guide me to how I can "Import the winplacement.khotkeys file to your KDE hotkeys" on Kubuntu 10.10, Kde 4.5.1?

Thank you for your feedback.

You can import the hotkeys in the 'System Settings' there you choose 'Input Actions' down left you see 'Edit > Import..' Here you choose the .khotkeys file and it will work.

Is there any option with which it is able to support multiple monitors? (using the size only on of them)
