Description:

A German-English dictionary with ca. 270,000 entries(http://dict.tu-chemnitz.de/) .
This dictionary was designed for ding dictionary lookup program, but may be used by other clients, too.
So I wrote ktrans.
You need a MySQL database.
At first start it will take a long time to create the database.

Not sure, what you mean with ksteak, but if you mean kding, then you can find it here on KDE-Apps.org. Also kding is pretty stable for almost a decade, also uses the same dictionary (ding) and is super fast. So why reinvent the wheel, need an additional database and have less features?

It's your project and it's good to have diversity! But maybe you should at least consider contributing to it instead of writing an new tool with currently hase less features, higher needs and possibly more bugs.

Best regards

Ksteak was the same for steak a another dict (kde3).
http://www.tucows.com/preview/69140/KSteak
But not ported to ked 4.
Why wrote another, simple don't kding found it on Ubuntu I could be possible that I use another dict in the future.
But Kding is a good Idea, Take a look at the source code (only 350 lines).

Greatz Dirk
