Description:

Drag and Drop upload implemented in Java. Allows users to upload documents from desktop by simply dragging it from desktop explorer to a hotzone within this application.

As h3oUpload splits the file into parts - it allows even uploading big files and is not restricted by the MAX_UPLOAD setting of your hosting server.

Further Details See Forum:
http://www.h3o.de/forum/viewforum.php?f=7

Changelog:

V0.1 - Windows Only Release
V0.2 - Windows and Linux tested
V0.3 - "White Space" Bug Fixed
- Close Files Bug Fixed
- Added h3oUploadMini

(it would be nice, if a Mac user would provide feedback)

We have been talking about such a feature since a long time !!!

You should be in touch with Nanawel to see how to merge it with eyeUploadX.

Or he could do this as a simple eyeUpload Tab. Very nice, indeed.

 Doesn't work...

Great concept for an application!

Anyway, I installed it on my eyeOS and it doesn't work well. The file "seems" to be uploaded fine, but in fact only a ghost file (0 KB) is created, and the name is incorrectly cut when there are spaces in it.

It could also be interresting for the user to choose the destination folder, instead of using this "h3oUpload" folder, a bit strange :)

For information, I use FF2 under Windows, Apache and PHP 5.2.5.

Good job anyway!

Hi Nanawel,

did you check with the latest version? (0.2) ? As there was a bug in the original drop, if the filename contained spaces.

In addition, could you check for me the content of the users tmp folder?

If possible, please post your feedback to the forum at:
http://www.h3o.de/forum/viewforum.php?f=7

Because I want to track it down.

Regards,
Thorsten

It works on Mac.

I've tried with Leopard 10.5.4 and the last nightly build WebKit.

But... it doesn't work with my Firefox 3.0.1 configuration.

I don't like the 2 icons in apps folder, 1 for upload, 1 for accessing upload folder. I've searched 5 minutes where my files was uploaded and why there was 2 icons for 1 app ;)

 Requirements for the Server

As more and more reports are created of where h3oUpload is working, and where not, please use the following URL to get an overview:
http://www.h3o.de/forum/viewforum.php?f=7

In short:
- Do not open eyeOS with an index.php in the URL.
- Will not work if HTTP PUT is not supported by Server (Error Code 406)
