Description:
This software based on the Qt 4.8.x libraries.
The user must be member of the group dialout. This version of gdevutil
works with physical and virtual serial ports e.g. USB-serial adapters.
This software provides the transfers of the track records of GPS devices into your computer.
Caution! Currently route or waypoint data are not transfered to the computer.
Each single track ist displayed in a simple graphical editor. To smooth the track
new trackpoints can be inserted or trackpoints can be deleted with the right mouse button, or moved using the left
mouse button. Each track can be saved into a file with gpx or kml-extension. These
file types can be open e.g. with Google Earth and Google Maps.The files includes
your track comments and the color and line width which are used to display the data.
The source is fit for 32 bit and 64 bit operating systems. The downloadable package contains the source and x86_64 binaries for openSuSE 13.2
and Kubuntu/Ubuntu 14.04.
Available in englisch (default) and german language.
It's very easy to compile this package if you use the qtcreator.
