wallpaper thrown together... just googled desert then added logo, text and transperant white banner

just thought ubuntu looked good with desert

yes you can.

but there is only one upload allowed on the gnome-look server.
however, either you have to add a link to your own webspace where you uploaded the picture, or you add a second one as a screenshot(upload max. 300kb)

Why don't resize by yourself? Use gimp or any other program, it's simple..

Because in that case, the ubuntu logo (circle) would not be any more perfect circle.
