 Nice shot!

Pic's design really great :)
More "linux touch" would make it better in IMHO. Like, hum.. a tux sign somewhere in the swatch!

Thank you for the feedback.

I didn't want to muck with the actual image, even though no copyright was provided by the original artist. This is a very clean Grub bootsplash, and the simple "Time for Linux" says it all.

It takes less time to take the time to do it right the first time, than it does to fix it the second time.

 How to use?

I'm assuming this image would show up once applied when I get to Grub in the boot process and choosing the OS to use. If so, how do i use this to be displayed instead of the blue background?

Assuming you haven't figured this out yet...

As root, create a directory under /boot/grub (I called mine splashimages)

As root, copy the *.gz file to this directory.

As root, edit the /boot/grub/menu.lst file.

Add the following entry (I put it below default 0 and above ## timeout sec):

# splashimage
splashimage=(hdx,y)/boot/grub/splashimages/watch.xpm.gz

Note: Replace x and y in (hdx,y) in the above line with the numbers you see in the # groot=(hdx,y) entry)

It takes less time to take the time to do it right the first time, than it does to fix it the second time.

Do I do the same as above to change my screen image? I'm using Fedora 13 KDE.
