 Stasi and GDR

Why do people like you support this organisation and also this regime?

The GDR was a dictature! Thousands of people died because they wanted to leave this state. Do you find that good??? -.-

And the Stasi was a organisation to observate the people of the GDR. I don't know why you find this communistic regime good...

Dear Poseidon88, we do not share the same vision about the GDR. In my opinion, the GDR was not as bad as you seem to think.

By the way, I can see that you write from the modern Germany. Since Germany is responsible for the disintegration of Yugoslavia, and for all subsequent slaughters, if we need to tell casualties, I would say that the modern Germany is far more criminal than the little old GDR. Actually I don't know many countries which cannot be held responsible for thousands or even millions of deaths (including my own country, Spain). GDR was indeed not that bad at all. By the way, according to Der Spiegel and Bild, in 2004 20% of the Germans still missed the GDR. How could it really be that bad?

Anyway, I'm not here to discuss politics, this is not the place for that. If you do not like my art, please, by all means, do not use it.

hmm, I like your art... it looks very well, but I hate the GDR and Stasi ;)

Yes, you're right if you say, that the modern Germany is criminal...

But the Stasi observated the whole people of GDR... many people who wanted to leave this corrupted regime died through soldiers at the borders.

Der Spiegel and Bild... Bild is not a really newspaper I think and all medias are corrupted by the government of this fu*kin' state.

Much people of Germany are simply stupid. Their brains are killed by the medias and so they would believe everything. So I can understand it, that 20 % of the people of Germany want to get the GDR back.

ok.. I shouldn't talk so much about politic here... if you want to diskuss with me, you can add me in jabber or ICQ...

I will not say that everything about the GDR was great, or even good. But not everything was bad either. There were great things about it (and also bad things, and the same can be said about any country). I'm not willing to discuss politics, but I appreciate your invitation. Some other time, maybe. Thanks for your appreciation of my work, may be you will find some other piece you like more ;-)

I liked the GDR, that's it. Its achievements were impressive.

As the Stasi was its secret service (a very efficient one, I believe), it is a good source of inspiration for a nice and sturdy theme.

So you are in fact totally clueless when it comes to the history. You could start by seeing the movie "Das Leben der Anderen" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0405094/) and then read some of the history about what the Stasi really did. Perhaps you then don't have such a romatic view on it. But if your next project is a tribute to Pol Pot, Idi Amin, Stalin etc... then I guess you are a lost cause.

I guess you are not clueless about History because you watch movies, right? :-) About the rest (like the nonsense about Pol Pot or Idi Amin) yeah, ok, whatever. But I understand Stalin's name still hurts some of you. >-)

Go get a life.
