Description:
There are a couple of simple things that KDE can add to make life for touch tops, pen tops, and slates a little easier.
First we need a better virtual keyboard, one that docks like a panal, and we can bring it up by pressing a shortcut button, or by moving the cursor to one side of the screen. It's a real pain to have to move the keyboard window every time your done typing with it.
Next, it's a bit of a pain to grab the sides, and edges of windows to make them resize. If we had a way of adjusting how "big" the grab area around the edges are to make going this a little easier.
Krandrtray is a really awesome program for tablet users, and recently an upgrade allowed absolute pointer systems to flip the screen, and also flip the mouse cursor axis! Just one thing I'd love to have, is a way to have a global short cut to flip the screen around. Now I tried to right a script that uses randr directly, but randr doesn't flip the mouse axis as well, so it makes it fairly useless.
The rest of the ideas I've had can be done with plasma, and other new KDE4 APIs. If there already is a way to do what I've described above I'd love to know.
