Description:

ShowImg is a feature-rich image viewer which can display numerous formats, including JPEG, PNG, GIF (animated), MNG, PSD, ... It consists of a tree view frame, a directory/preview frame, and a view frame. The (larger) view frame can be exchanged with the (smaller) directory/preview frame. It can preview and display images from multiple directories and search for identical images. ShowImg also features a full-screen mode, zooming, sorting, drag'n'drop with Konqueror, support for images in compressed archives (tar, tar.gz, zip, ...) and kipi plugins.

I made rpm for SUSE10.1/kde3.4.5 ( http://suse.chytrak.cz/rpms/suse10.1/showimg-0.9.5-suse10.1.i686.rpm ), but the compiler and program didnot see my libkipi0.1.4 and kipi-plugin0.1.0rc1. Export HTML does not work.

I keep seeing reviews that say this program has support to view Adobe Photoshop PSD files, using the GIMP library.

For the life of me, I cannot get this to work. I'm running Kubuntu 6.10 (edgy) with GIMP, Krita, ShowImg, Gwenview, and I still cannot view PSD files without Photoshop.

Does anyone have a workaround to fully view PSD files (not just thumbnails) without using Photoshop?

Thanks a lot for this usefull application : I don't like manage photos by albums, but by directories.

1/ Is there a project to integrate a gtkam-like module ?

2/ I'm not able to change the configuration of the windows's position even if they're enlarged… Is it normal ?
