 Very Promising!

This theme engine has a really great potential. It can control almost all parts of the style in a way no other engine can (not even QtCurve). As you know, there are missing widgets and some bugs in it. I work on it in my free time. For now, I've added some widgets to and made an Enlightenment-like theme for it (http://i.imgur.com/IUJLHhI.png).

I hope you'll continue its development.

Thanks for your interest in QuantumStyle.
I no longer add features to it because it has not gained the attention I expected. But I always welcome themes.
For information, there's a git repository if you want to contribute or just send me patches/themes.

Yout theme looks very promising. Don't hesitate to ask if you need help

If you ever did decide to keep this going, I'm very sure it would get plenty of attention. This is the kind of engine that KDE has lacked since KDE4 came out. It just needs a couple great flagship themes! And, from what I've seen lately, there are plenty of competent artists around here these days.

Thanks. I'm currently performing a lot of changes in the engine to make it better. Keep following the changes in the git repository till I release a new version.

 Promissing, again!

I'm glad to know that you decided to work on QSvgStyle!

I made lots of fixes, changes and additions to QuantumStyle so that I don't think putting them into a diff file could be of any help to your work, especially because I didn't start with QSvgStyle. Now, it works correctly with all Qt/KDE apps I know of.

For now, I'm busy with Enlightenment but I'll follow your work at GitHub and may suggest some of the fixes/changes I made.

BTW, do you know of any way to make QuantumStyle lighter? It adds a few Mb to the used memory of every app, which isn't a big deal though because the added memory usage isn't a percentage of the total one.

Hi,

I think the Mb added to memory may be related to the SVG file (to be confirmed) being loaded into memory to be rendered. Look into SVG being loaded. Have a look at SVG cleaner https://github.com/RazrFalcon/SVGCleaner. This tool is a killer app for Inkscape produced files, it can nearly shorten the size by 50%.

You were right :) After I cleaned my default image with SVG Cleaner (which I often used for other SVG images), the RAM usage dropped to almost that of Oxygen. The original image should be backed up though because SVG Cleaner groups unrelated objects and so makes it hard to edit them. Thanks for the suggestion!

Great ! I recommend to not go beyond 'basic' clean settings. But you can safely drop all inkscape/sodipodi/... attributes, useless fills/strokes, ... This will leave your file editable.
