 Troubles in Gnome

 by hellokitten on: Feb 25 2015

Score 50%

I have qtconf-qt4 configured to match my desktop. Every time I attempt to make theme changes with qt5 nothing happens. Even: -style=Windows after the app name still gives me fusion as does you app. Any Idea as to how I may fix this issue would be appreciated.

May be Qt5 compiled without windows style support.

I was using Windows as an example. It doesnt allow for any change. Everything except you app stays as Fusion.

1. Check environment variable:

user@testhost:~$ export | grep QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME
declare -x QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME="qt5ct"

2. Start qt5 application with QT_DEBUG_PLUGINS=1 and check output.

Check QT_STYLE_OVERRIDE environment variable. May be it overrides your settings.

QT_STYLE_OVERRIDE=gtkexport
QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME=qt5ct

weird thing is it worked on my old laptop.

 Great app

Just what I was looking for, a couple of things though it doesn't save anything to the style sheets just empty files, also the 'Creat fonts.conf' does nothing just gives this:
QIODevice::write: device not open
in the shell.
Would be nice to get the style sheets working, I am using LFS, qt-5.40, and xfce DE

This was exactly what I needed under Enlightenment. Exporting QT_STYLE_OVERRIDE didn't cover all apps. Thanks a lot!

 Problem with shadows on dolphin

 by Kicka on: Jan 10 2016

First things first, thank you, thank you thank you. Your application is a life saver for people like me that run a WM instead of a DE (Openbox in my case).
The shadows of the icons inside dolphin (KF5) are different depending if you are root or normal user.
Both my laptop and my desktop suffer this, but while in my desktop the shadow are good for normal user and bad for root user, in my laptop is exactly the contrary.
That happens ONLY when i set QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME="qt5ct" while with QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME="kde" things run perfectly fine.
Sadly i do not know QT language to suggest you how to proceed or what is doing that, but I'm 100% sure that is related to qt5ct.
Thank you.
