Description:

This package contains a specific icon theme for linux, special thanks to Uri Herrera the father of Nitrux Os for his help, support and his ability to draw new beautiful icons.

We tried to create a complete iconset for linux, that should fit every desktop environment.

This icon set was inspired by Faenza, but its appearance is much more simple and minimalistic

Changelog:

1.0.1 - action for dark themes added
1.0.1 - new action icons added
1.0.1 - package size reduced removing svg files

 Great job!

Really great work! This is probably the most complete icon set I've used under KDE, which is even more impressive given it works acrosss multiple desktop environments. It's also one of the best looking. Thanks for all the time and effort you've put into this.

My only real complaint is how much space it takes up - 778 megabytes! o_O Given most of the KDE icon themes I've used (which were reasonably complete) took up no more than ~50-100MB, this is quite a drawback. I had a look in some of the directories, and from what I could tell, you're not using symlinks for identical icons at all. Given how many duplicates there are, doing so should significantly cut down on the space. For example, acroread.png, adobe-reader.png, AdobeReader.png, AdobeReader8.png, AdobeReader9.png, and AdobeReader10.png all use the exact same icon. Instead of making them 6 individual files, you could just have acroread.png, then make the others symlinks to that file (ln -s ./acroread.png adobe-reader.png; ln -s ./acroread.png AdobeReader.png; etc.); doing this would free up a lot of room since only the original file actually uses any disk space.

Lastly, extra kudos for releasing this under the GPL. There are a few tweaks that I'd like to make, but was unable to locate the sources. Could you point me to where I'd find them? Thanks!

(A note about the provided .deb file: I'm assuming it's because it's so big and contains such a huge number of files, but trying to open it with Kubuntu's .deb installer [qapt-deb-installer] brought my entire system to a screeching halt. You should probably advise users to install it via "sudo dpkg -i Potenza.deb" on the command line instead.)

Thank you for the positive comment was a long job, a special thanks to Uri Herrera for support.

The reason why I do not use symbolic links is mainly due to the fact that icons of different sizes are created automatically by a linux script that cannot work with symbolic links, it burdens the size of the set, but greatly reduces production time allowing me to concentrate my efforts on the icon making.

Inside the folder namede "scalable" you will find all svg files that can be useful to create new icons.

We might be interested about insert in the next release of Mystras OS some modded version of Potenza, so if you plan to work about that feel free to contact me for work togheter.

we plan to release soon the next versions of Potenza with much more icons and a lighter size, any help will be appreciated and anyone who wants to help will be mentioned into the credits of next release.

Great job on the update. I think you can now safely claim that this is the most complete (*and* beautiful) icon theme available for the Linux desktop. My only question: Where did the SVGs go? I definitely agree with your decision to remove them from the main package due to size constraints, but it'd be nice if they were still available separately for people who want to tweak and/or help out with new icons.
