The theme was based on Kubuntu artwork and Caledonia KSplash theme (GPLv2)

Extract this folder to /lib/plymouth/themes

And install theme:
update-alternatives --install /lib/plymouth/themes/default.plymouth default.plymouth /lib/plymouth/themes/caledonia/caledonia.plymouth 100

Now select the theme:
update-alternatives --config default.plymouth

Pick the right one and type in the number to finish

To preview:
plymouthd
plymouth --show-splash

(You\\\'d have to switch to VT-7 to take a look (kdm may crash) , or use `fbgrab -c 7 out.png` and view the captured image (apt-get to install it) )

To enable this on login:

update-initramfs -u

You have tried to replace the dots for the progress bar?

I don't know exactly how works the Plymouth theme code, because the dots are 5 steps, and the progress bar are basically 4 (the code of animation must be changed). So, maybe is a good idea, don't think? :)

The dots are actually two images in the same size , but different color , and the blue one was switch on / off by setting its opacity.

I checked the script , seems you only need to replace the dots with two horizontal bars (one blue , one white) , but there might be spacing between them.

Hi, I only see links for the screenshots in devianart and to the ksplash theme, but not a download link for your plymouth theme.

Did you remove it ?
