Description:

This is a theme for the Lock dialog that is made for the New Wave Theme and GDM.

Installation:

1. Unpack files to /usr/share/gnome-screensaver/. If you update you should replace all old files with the new ones. You may exclude the README file.

2. Open gconf-editor (Alt+F2, type it and press enter) change the entry apps/gnome-screensaver/lock_dialog_theme from 'default' to 'newwave'

3. Enjoy!

To enjoy this theme fully I recommend using a picture of your choice of size 96x96 px. You could change your current one by going to System > Preference > About Me and click on the button besides your name.

If you want to get back you old theme you should do step 3 in reverse: replace 'newwave' with 'default'

How much it is displaced on your screen? It seems to change over releases of Gnome and screen resolutions. I'm still wondering how to fix that once and for all. If you know smth please drop me a note.

With the last gnome 2.28 release, the theme simply doesnt work.

I used to rename lock-dialog-newwave.glade into lock-dialog-newwave.ui, then the theme works partially but is broken.

It seems that they have migrated the lock dialog to other system that does not support themeing. So there is nothing I can do ... :(

maybe you can fix your theme to work with the last version of gnome-screensaver? ^_^

Hi,
For the theme to work in recent ubuntu release 10.04+, you need to convert the *.glade to a *.ui.

To do so open a terminal and type
sudo get-builder-convert -w lock-dialog-THEME_NAME.glade lock-dialog-THEME_NAME.ui

There you have it, rejoice!

Great lock theme, but my avatar was appearing in the wrong place. On line 109 of "lock-dialog-newwave.glade" I changed -9 to 0 and that seemed to fix it.
