Description:

A triptychon style wallpaper in 1280x800. I use it to organize the desktop items a little. It leaves enough space for surrounding panels and small widgets like a digital clock or decoration like picture frames or analog clock and (IMHO) goes well with either a dark or a light plasma theme. I made it for my notebook screen but now also use it on a 1920x1200 display and it scales nicely.

The pictures were taken some years ago so please don't ask me about the plants they show. ;) The middle one is a kind of Calla lily I suppose.

Thanks for your comment and vote.

I'd really like to know what's wrong with it because I had planned to release other wallpapers in that style. Would be glad if someone would give me a hint: is it the photos, the size, the background, the three in one design, the colors, the frames around the picture parts, are there "glitches" in it I cannot see? Any proposals?

The only thing I can think of is that it is too specialized. To make effective use of the design you almost need to arrange the icons the same way you have. Also, for something like this you should probably include different resolutions. My advice is, if you want your work to be accepted by the majority, design your pieces to work well with different resolutions and desktop setups. For me that means, 2560 by 1600 with the sides, top and bottom uncluttered. That way if anything gets cropped off it won't ruin the design. If that is not feasible, than at least make a wide and full screen version. Lastly I'd say, don't pay attention to the voting. There's people that have nothing better to do than hate. They're not worthy of your consideration. People that have a genuine grip will leave feed back. Concentrate on quality and accessibility and you'll find an audience. Hope that helps.

I like this work it's different, I don't have much on my desktop and it works and looks good. I voted up, but the percentage didn't change. Go figure! It doesn't matter we all get voted down here anyway, it's the downloads that really and truly count.
