Description:

Animated KDE KSplash splash screen for plasma theme Oxygen.
Qml is based on Nowardev.

- The icons were taken from http://malcer.deviantart.com/ and http://ext4.wordpress.com/

- Wallpaper by http://nitrux.in/
Tested with KDE 4.12.x

Extract the downloaded KDE splash screen to
~/.kde/share/apps/ksplash/Themes/.

On Archlinux

~/.kde4/share/apps/ksplash/Themes/

In the next few days I'll make a package for CCR (the AUR equivalent in Chakra), it will be fully compaibile with arch. ;)

Actually I prefer the Chakra version. If this version removed all the unnecessary marketing ("Best DE ever!") it would be quite nice. And it would be even nicer if the KDE logo were simplified!

It is pretty nice though!

But I in my OpenSUSE, is showed not correctly. "K" letter is smaller than others and text below KDE has a font distinct, so the animated circle in "N" is not centered (the text is wider than it should be).

I have two monitor (1920x1200 and 1024x1280) and it's showed bad in each one, so I think it's font related.

I loved the version 1.06 but the logo in version 1.07 is too colored, IMHO it does not look good on this splash screen, dots should be blue only...

The space between the letters of the words "Plasma" and "Next" is too wide compared to the space between the two words. Either the spaces inside the words should be more narrow or the space between the words should be wider (space-blank-space).
