Description:

Media Center Edition WinXP Unity theme
--------------------------------------
This theme is for Ubuntu 14.04 with Unity intended!
Tested with Ubuntu GNOME, and MATE - works. It is mostly possible that it's gonna work with Ubuntu 14.10

I DO NOT like M$ and I never will!
I made this theme because... I would like to convince my wife to use it. That's all!
I think there is a lot of people who are familiar only with M$ interface. This theme could help.
Of course you could install YlmfOS theme from NoobsLab, but this theme is for me a little bit out-of-date, so I decided to renew it a bit and make it look like this in Media Center Edition. Big portion of this theme (95%) was taken from NoobsLab theme - Thanks a lot!
At this point I did my best and wanted to share.
Enjoy it!

Icon theme Win7 comes from NoobsLab.

Changelog:

Update April 16th
(no version change and no announce)
- metacity update - no more weired top-left corner on any window types (whether maximized or not),
- made tests in linux mint (cinnamon and MATE) - looks OK!

1.6
- fixed errors in metacity: prelight and pressed window buttons (false assignments - removed symlinks),
- MATE users can choose theme direct in Appearances

1.5
- fixed all scrollbars and steppers,
- fixed spin bg (both on pic.3)

1.4
- added support for Xfce,
- small workaround for metacity unfocused buttons (annoying left-top gray pixels),
- hint (MATE): try to (un)comment include "panel.rc" line in gtkrc (gtk-2.0) for another panels,
- hint (GNOME): theme has to be installed in /usr/share/themes

1.3
- created metacity buttons, borders and window-bar gradients; from now you can use this theme in UbuntuMATE!

1.2
- fixed buttons on color background e.g. warning text in top of e-mail,
- fixed progressbar borders,
- nautilus buttons with gradient and separator,
- fixed radio buttons (now look nice),
- gtk3 button borders thinner and in MCE darkblue

1.1
- remake all new tabs and progressbar (shiny),
- remake all buttons (very few cannot be changed),
- all gtk2 buttons imitate MCE (pressed, unpressed),
- window-titles now shadowed like in MCE,
- nautilus path-buttons color like pressed button
...at the end I removed unnecessary images from gtk3

1.0 initial issue
- rebuild close, minimize, maximize buttons with focus, unfocus, prelight etc.
- created window bars and borders,
- created unity top panel,
- changed progressbar,
- slightly rounded buttons in nautilus,
- changed bg color and some small corrections.

Hi,
Thx for improving my artwork.
Maked some changes for full 14.04 and 14.10 and cinnamon support. It looks now a bit different.
Can i send you my version so we can compare it ?.

Did you take a look at gtkparasite? It would help you to improve it even more.

regards bluedxca93

Thanks for the good words!
I saw your theme on gnome-look but did not use it for customizing. I know it's almost the same as this from Noobslab. I hope you are not angry with it on me. ;-)
Royale or Energy Blue is what this theme of me is called in M$.
Also thank you for suggesting me gtkparasite. I will try it.
My intention with this theme was to adapt it for clean Ubuntu with unity and I won't develop it in any other direction, at least for now (free time limitation). But I still work on buttons and tabs to make them as close as possible to imitate MCE. If you have any questions, pls PM.

Best Regards!

Hi, all fans of this theme!
Thank you very much for downloading and voting.
I don't want to bother you with frequent updates, but I ensure you that I'm still working on this theme and making it better.

Hi,

this theme was made for Ubuntu with Unity, but I have noticed that without subfolder metacity-1 it is not visible in Unity Tweak Tool, so... I just copied it from Radiance theme.
Frankly, I do not even know why I should need it.
For any further advice or comment pls use PM.
