Description:

Lizard Bootsplash for openSuSE 11

The splash screen is designed for resolutions 800x600, 1024x768, 1280x1024, 1400x1050 and 1600x1200 widescreen.

Upon special request I made a green and a blue text version.

Unpack the archive in /etc/bootsplash/themes/ and make sure that the folder has the same name as the tar.gz file (without the tar.gz) and change the THEME=xxxx line in /etc/sysconfig/bootsplash to THEME="Lizard_Blue" for the Blue theme and "Lizard_Green" for the green theme.

Run "mkinitrd" to store the splash in your ramdisk for the resolutions defined in your grub bootloader and reboot.

Enjoy this beauty.

I followed instruction and when I run mkinitrd I get

Root device: /dev/disk/by-id/scsi-SATA_Hitachi_HDP7250_GEB530RE2HUR2B-part3 (/dev/sda3) (mounted on / as ext3)
Resume device: /dev/sda2
Kernel Modules: processor thermal dock scsi_mod libata pata_jmicron ahci ata_piix fan jbd mbcache ext3 edd sd_mod usbcore ohci-hcd uhci-hcd ehci-hcd ff-memless hid usbhid
Features: block usb resume.userspace resume.kernel
Bootsplash: disabled for resolution 1280x1024

Sorry I've fixed the problem removed the folder in /etc/bootsplash/themes and unzipped it again, run mkinitrd again and it works fine and looks good.
don't know what happened the last time, just one of those things, probable I did some thing wrong, but alls well that ends well.
